HEALTH Minister Adham Baba has responded to Malaysiakini on the findings of the Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) linking him to the RM30 procurement scandal currently under investigation by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC).
“I strongly state that it had nothing to do with Khazanah Jaya or links to them (the people mentioned by C4). They are lies and slander,” he told Malaysiakini as reported here: https://m.malaysiakini.com/news/525113#_=_
The Health Minister also told Malaysiakini that he would be issuing a more detailed statement in due course.
Earlier, C4 issued a statement linking Adham’s chain of clinics to the awarding of a RM30 million contract to a construction firm for the supply of Covid 19 test labs and equipment.
The MACC began investigations on May 4, with five companies said to be hauled up to assist in investigations.
The following day, the Health Ministry lodged police reports over claims that five officers linked to Adham being arrested by the MACC in relation to the case.
C4, in detailing the links, provided this following chart to justify their allegations:
